Head and jaw movements in the early phase of jaw closing were quantified in terms of masseter and sternocleidomastoid, muscle activities and in the maximum velocity for jaw closing. The results were as the follows: 1. The ratio of the range of the head movement to that of the jaw movement was constant independent of the hardness of the chewing materials. 2. The ratio of the range of the head movement to that of the jaw closing velocity increased in accordance with the hardness of the materials. 3. During mastication, the masseter and sternocleidomastoid muscle activities proportionally increased in accordance with the hardness of the materials.}, pages = {119--128}, title = {食品の硬さが咀嚼時の頭部運動に及ぼす影響}, volume = {31}, year = {2004} }
